NEWS: Plan-Net donates IT equipment to the developing world

The digital divide between the UK and developing countries is enormous and it will take a lot of effort to make it narrow. As a company working in the field of IT, we understand how important it is for children – the adults of the future – in South Africa, India, Brazil and other developing countries to have access to computers for learning purposes and to be able to overcome all physical boundaries and connect to the rest of the globe.

For this reason, Plan-Net have decided to donate a number of items including PCs, servers, printers, hard disks, SDLT Tapes, Scanners to Computer Aid, within the environmental requirements for the disposal of IT equipment.

The donated equipment will be cleared of any data, refurbished and sent to Schools, Universities and Research centres in the developing world.

Do you want to donate your old, faulty or unused IT equipment as well?

Go to http://www.computeraid.org/donate.asp to learn how.
